William Sadler Bennett was born in 1890 in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, the son of Mary Ann (Morris) Bennett and James Kerr Bennett.^[1]

He married Violet Edith Rogers on 24 December 1919 in Hampton, Victoria.^[2] They had a daughter.^{[citation needed]}

William married Ernestine Condette on 24 May 1941 at 48 Crisp St, Hampton.^[3]

William died on 15 May 1948 at Queens' Memorial Infectious Diseases Hospital in Fairfield, Victoria, aged 57 years.^[4]
