John Bennett was born to Thomas and Elizabeth (Thompson) Bennett by 1670 at Fairfield, Connecticut (no birth record). He was called Junior until his uncle John left Fairfield. He married Phebe ______ who married second, Gideon Allen by the end of 1713.^[1] His marriage to Phebe took place by 1695 at Fairfield, Connecticut.^[2]
