Biography

George Walter Bennett was born on August 15, 1864 in Appling County, GA USA, son of Richard Henry Bennett (1826–1891) and Rachel Westberry (1832–1917).

George (32) married Annie Belle Douglas (18) (born on August 18, 1878 in Appling County; daughter of Simon Quarterman Douglas and Lucinda (Lott) Douglas) on April 11, 1897 in Appling County.[1]

George died on September 17, 1899 in Appling County, aged 35. He was buried in Douglas Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Alma, Georgia.
