At least one family tree has Louis Benoit born about 1800 at St Georges, Newfoundland, however Butt says he was born 1806-1810 and married Ursule/Ursula Marche in 1833 in St. Georges, Newfoundland. She is listed as born 1814-1816 and the daughter of Vincent Francois Marche and Sophie Adelaide Jesseau.[1]

Removed marriage date of May 24 1852 for Louis and Ursule. Sandy Point records show marriage for Louis and Ursule's son to Domitille Godet, daughter of Jean Godet and Pelagie Cormier.[2]
