Biography

Guillaume (dit Perrochon) was born after the census of 1707 to Pierre Benoit and Isabelle LeJuge.[1] He married Marie Josephe Gautrot in about 1729.[1]
In the 1752 "La Roque" census his family is on Ile Royale (present-day Cape Breton) in Riviere aux Habitants.[2] Guillaume is listed as the 46-year old builder and owner of a saw-mill, native of la Cadie and married to Joseph Benoist, aged 50 years. Their land was covered with trees capable of Producing fine building lumber. He was, however, unable to work his farm because of serious flooding every spring. He later moved to the region of Arichat, Richmond County, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.[3]
They have the following children:
  1. Pierre, aged 22 years;
  2. Michel, aged 20 years;
  3. Boniface, aged 15 years;
  4. Simon, aged 13 years;
  5. Judict, aged 15 years;
  6. Genevieve, aged 9 years;
