Marie Anne Benoist, 39 year old widow of Michel Parent, remarried on 28 October 1709 in Notre-Dame de Montréal with Louis Roger, 41 year old son of Toussaint Roger and of Geneviève Leroy, of the parish of Lagny-sur-Marne, archdiocese of Paris.[8]

4 children from the marriage, 3 known to die young. The last trace of them as a couple is in 1717, the funeral of their daughter Marie Josephe.[5]

Louis Roger dit Labrie died on the côte St-Léonard (on Montréal island) and was buried on 3 July 1734 in Longue-Pointe de Montréal (St-François-d'Assise), the record giving him around 64 years of age.[9]

Death

Marie Anne Laforest dite Sèmegrain, widow of le bonhomme Parent, died on 6 April 1744 in Hôpital Général de Québec and was buried the same day in the hospital cemetery, the record giving her 78 years of age.[10]
