Benoit-163 and Benoit-308 do not represent the same person because: Benoit-308 is to be merged into Benoît-116

Benoît-116 and Benoit-308 appear to represent the same person because: Benoit-308 has incorrect mother. All valid info from Benoit-308 has been moved to Benoît-116.

Therefore I propose we go ahead with the merge with Benoit-163.

Bertrand Desjardins of PRDH-IGD has messaged back His comments re: mother's name given in Burial record:

Hi,

Our data base includes sections whose characteristics are quite different. The Repertory of Vital events is made up of transcriptions of the main elements of the original documents; it must show the information as it appears in the documents. The Genealogical Dictionary is the synthesis and interpretation of the information found in the Documents; it is result of a «Genealogical work».

The documents relating to our distant ancestors sometimes show erratic information; in this case, even if the mother is called «Lamontagne», we have no doubt that the person buried here is the daughter of Marie Anne Guedon.

There are discrepancies in PRDH/Drouin.

The marriage has no parents listed but the PRDH database has parents as Gabriel Benoit and Marie Anne Guedon.

The burial of Marguerite Benoit in the register lists the parents as Pierre Benoit and Françoise Lamontagne. I have reported the discrepancy and will see what they say.

In the marriage it gives Gabriel & Guedon as parents...

When I click on her father it does not bring me to Lamontagne as her mother but to Gabriel & Guedon. Seems we could use some extra help in sorting this out.
