Biography

Petter was born on October 15, 1653 in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] He is the son of Peter Bent and Elizabeth Unknown.

On 27 Feb 1705 he married his second cousin, Abigail Barnes, born Oct. 3, 1683, daughter of Richard Barnes (1631-1708) of Marlboro.[2] She was born on 3 Oct 1683 in Marlborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts and was thirty years younger than her husband. She died in Southboro, Massachusetts, 4 Feb 1768, at age 84.
