Biography
When Elizabeth Kimbrough Benton and her twin brother John Augustus were born on July 7, 1775, in Cheraw, South Carolina, their father, Col, was 20 and their mother, Elizabeth, was 16. She had five brothers and five sisters. She died on December 2, 1826, at the age of 51.
