William Benton was the son of Barbara Bruce (1730-1788) and John Benton (1698-) William Benton married Barbara Bruce (b. 1730 in Scotland died 1788, buried at Alford, Kirkyard of Alford, Sotland)) on 31 May 1750 in Alford, Aberdeen, Scotland.[1] Williams children were
