Biography

Ann is one of five daughters of Ephraim Benton and his wife Hannah (not Hannah House) and is named in the probate of Ephraim's estate in 1748. She is named as the fifth daughter.[1]

Note from Profile Manager (adopted)

I adopted this orphaned profile because I had adopted the profile of her purported mother, Hannah House, and her father Josiah Benton (originally labelled Ephraim Benton). I have so far proved that Hannah House's husband was indeed Josiah Benton, and I have documented four children. Ann is not one. The records of which I am certain cover the years from 1736 to 1742.

Josiah Benton's brother Ephraim, who died in 1748, did marry a woman named Hannah and had a daughter Ann. Both are named in the probate of his estate along with Ann's four sisters and a brother.

If you know of a source I'd be very pleased for you to enter any information you have, as the original profile entry seems to have been based on undocumented ancestry.com family trees.
