Biography

Mary Jane "Mollie" Bergin married John Thomas Browne on September 13, 1871 in Houston, Texas at Annunciation Catholic Church. They were the first couple to celebrate a marriage in the new Catholic church. Mollie and John had 12 children and were a prominent family in Houston through his political career in Texas. Together, they had a life-long marriage of 62 years.
