Biography

According to the Visitation of Gloucester, Elizabeth daughter of Robert (sic) Berkeley and Elizabeth Reade was the wife of Sir Thomas Throgmorton, Knt of Tortworth. ^[1] According to the "Lives of the Berkeleys", Elizabeth was the mother of Thomas's four children William, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth. ^[2]

Neither Elizabeth, nor any Throgmorton grandchildren, were named in the 1604 will of her currently attached father Richard. ^[3]
