Biography

George Stillman Berry was born on March 20, 1818. He was the son of John Berry and Sally Foss. [1] [2]

He married the widow Louisa (Harmon) Gardner on Jan. 1, 1838. She was born at Machias, ME on April 8, 1808, daughter of Japhet and Betsey Harmon. [3] [4] Louisa died on Sept. 5, 1871.

He died at Marshfield, ME on Nov. 20, 1905 and they buried in the Marshfield Cemetery. [2] [5] [6]

Children

Caroline born about August 1838; died Jan. 5, 1911; married Horace Getchell on Oct. 25, 1860. [7] [8] [3]

Jane F. born about 1841; married Gilbert Smith on Jul 10, 1860 at Northfield, ME. [3] [9]

Franklin born Dec. 10, 1841 [10]; married Sarah G. Foss on Aug. 18, 1862[3] [11]; died at Marshfield, ME on Aug. 20, 1918. [12] [13]

Rebecca born Sept. 15, 1843 [14]; married William Stride on May 31, 1862. [3][15] She died in 1902 and is buried in the Marshfield Cemetery.

Olive born in April, 1845; died May 8, 1845. [16]

Winslow George born May 1, 1847; [17] died Sept. 9, 1905 [18]; married Georgiana Harmon on May 18, 1877. [19]

Adam born about 1849; died February 22, 1852 in Marshfield. [20] [21]
