Birth
Samuel Martensen Berry was born on August 4, 1722, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, to Maria Roome and Marten Samuelsen "Martin" Berry.[1]
CONFLICT: Using a Time/Date calculator and the age as listed on headstone, the DoB is 4 August 1723. We have a conflict here in that the baptism records show he was baptized 8 September 1722. Hard to be baptized before birth. I find church records to a better identifier than a headstone, therefore I am leaving the DoB as 4 August 1722. If someone can find another source with mure substantial data, then please post.
