Notes for Amanda H. BERRY
‘Mandy’6
Obituary reads...
With sadness we announce the death of Aunt Amanda Montgomery who died at the old homestead on the morning of the 22 of January. Aunt Manda as she was called by her many friends was born in the state of Tennessee in the year 1822 and had been a great suffer for many years, but she bore the trials and afflicts and attitudes of the zealous Christian that she was. She was the Mother of eleven children all of whom survive her. She was always ready to testify of the glories or the cause of her Lord and Master; and her spirit is now at rest in the arms of her Blessed Redeemer. Weep not sorrowing ones as those who have no hope, for the time will not be long before you will be united with Mother in that land where parting will be no more, and all tears will be wiped away from every eye.6
