The man Berry who stabbed his son at Callington a week or two since has been convicted at the Mount Barker Local Court, and sentenced to three months'imprisonment, with hard labor.

Notes

He married Ann Ellen Barclay, described as his cousin in old family documents in Coventry on 10 May 1832.[10]
He is listed in voting rolls in the Warwickshire records office in 1836, resident in Gosford Street, a freehold house.
James and Anne Ellen Berry and their family arrived in the South Australian Colony in 1853 from Melbourne on the Atalante (Atalanta maybe). The Atalanta arrived in Melbourne in the Victorian Colony in january of that year.[11]
