Some of the things Mother experienced: She went up in a glider with a pilot in Kenai, Alaska, and flew with Danny in his sea plane in King Solomon, Alaska. She went to a Britney Field Trial, here in Texas, with Daddy & Alan, and rode Alan's Tennessee Walker, ole' Jack. She was gone so long they were getting ready to get in the truck and go look for her, but she came flying over the hill and grinning from ear to ear. She was in her late 70's. We used to go the gravel pits and shoot tin cans. Mother could out shoot all of us. Boy did she love to fish. I guess she fished every where she went. All over Texas, for King Salmon in Alaska, from Danny's boat in the Hudson River in New York and would have fished in the Niagara below the falls if they would have let her. She was quite a lady.
