Biography

When Timothy Bessette was born on 31 May 1846, in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois, United States, his father, Cajetan Bessette, was 33 and his mother, Eleonore Nadeau, was 37.

He married Heloise Lambert on May 17, 1869. ^[1]

He married Ida May Hurd in 1876, in Concordia, Cloud, Kansas, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 4 daughters.

He lived in Kickapoo Township, Lincoln, Oklahoma, United States in 1900 and Scenic, Pennington, South Dakota, United States for about 20 years.

He died on 12 May 1935, in Rapid City, Pennington, South Dakota, United States, at the age of 88, and was buried in Scenic Cemetery, Scenic, Pennington, South Dakota, United States.

From Find a Grave: Rites to Be Held for Timothy Bessette, 88. Funeral services for Timothy Bessette, 88, rancher near Scenic, who died at a local hospital Sunday, will be held at the Scenic Catholic church at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning. The Rev. Father Sullivan will officiate. Mr. Bessette moved with his family to Scenic in 1906. Ida Bessette, his wife, and a son, Lee Bessette, live in Scenic. Burial will be at the Scenic cemetery.
