George Washington Bickel was born on 27 Dec 1803 in Centre, Pennsylvania, United States,^[1] son of Thomas Bickel and Barbara (Schaeffer) Bickel.

George died on 3 Apr 1877 in Pike Township aged 73. He was interred in the Boundary Cemetery, Pike Township, Indiana.^[1]
