Biography

Johan (John) Jacob Bickel was born 1 December 1748 in Massenbach, Wuertemburg, Germany. He died 23 Feb 1842 in Lebanon Township, Lancaster, Pennsylvania at age 94. Johan was buried in the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery located in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where his wife, Maria Katarina "Catherine" BRAUN Bickel, is also buried.

Son of Johann Fridrich Bickle (1723–1796) and Catharina Dorothea Muller (1714–1760).

Johan (John) Jacob Bickel married Catarina Marie Braun on 4 Mar 1766 in the Hill Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Annville Township, Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
