Mary Ann Mereana Bidois was born on 23 April 1880. She was the daughter of Pierre Peter Kanohi Bidois and Mereana Borel.
She married Alfred Ernest Robinson on 7 May 1902 at Edward Woods's House in Waihi, Hauraki District, New Zealand. Her husband was an Australian-born Gold Miner.
They went on to have at least seven sons.
Sadly her second youngest son William died on 14 January 1937, drowned when the boat he was on was wrecked. Two years later, her husband Alfred passed away unexpectedly on 20 January 1939 at the age of 64 after an operation.
On 28 December 1942 one of her other sons George died at age 36 in the Western Desert, North Africa from wounds received whilst fighting in the 2nd World War.
Mereana Robinson passed away on 21 November 1951 and was buried at Waihi Cemetery, Waihi, Hauraki District, Waikato, New Zealand[1]. PLOT: Block E Plot 414
