Biography
James Hobson was born on 3 February 1849 at Somerset East; he was the son of Ebenezer Biggs and Mary Ann (Hobson) Biggs.
He was a 33 year old farmer from Uitenhage when he married 31 year old Hannah Maria Hobson on 6 September 1882 in the Somerset East Wesleyan Chapel. There were no children.[1]

James died on 20 Oct 1929 at Well Found (Welgevonden), Jansenville, in the Cape Colony; he was 80 years old.[2][3][4]
