Based on her TN. Death Certificate# 63-03237, Media is listed as Female white, married, age 52, housewife. Medias husband is William V. Smith. Their residence is RT. 2 River Road, Nashville TN. D.O.D. 02/07/1963 at Miller Hospital Nashville, TN. Her Father is Jesse H. Biggs and her Mother is Alice Adcock.


Jesse and Alice had a second daughter on 04/19/1922 in Davidson County TN. She was named Rachel.

Based on State of TN. Bureau of Vital Statistics, Rachel died on 07/07/1924. She is listed as white, female, age is 2years, 2months, and 18 days. Rachel was under the care of W. W. Allen, MD from 06/27/1924 thru 07/06/1924. Cause of death was colitis. Burial to be at Family Burial Grounds.

Physical limitations: has lost one eye, has bad teeth, and as of this day, is healing from a broken ankle. Alice Biggs is his wife and dependent.


Based on TN. Death Records 1914-1966, He died due to skull injuries sustained in an accident. Jesse's death certificate shows Jesse as male, white, married, age 65. His residence: River Road RT. 2. Nashville, TN. Occupation: carpenter, painter, self employed. He was pronounced dead at St. Thomas Hospital by DR. W. Brant Lipscomb M.D. Cause of death: Cerebral contusion, severe basilar factures. Skull basilar, rt. temporal and anterior fussae. Jess Henry had stepped in front of a moving car. No autopsy was performed. Informant: Mrs. Media F. Smith, 5100 Alabama Ave. Nash. TN. Funeral Home: Petus and Owen 4506 Charlotte Ave. Burial 05/16/1942 at Atkisson Burial Grounds, Davidson in Davidson county.
