Edward Billups was a Virginia colonist.

Origin

Edward was born about 1735 at Gloucester (later Mathews) County, Virginia.[1] He was a son of Joseph Billups and Margaret Lilly.[1]

Marriage

Edward married in 1756 at Lunenburg, Virginia to Sarah Casey.[1] Edward and Sarah had ten children:[2]

American Revolutionary War

Edward became a Lieutenant Colonel at Gloucester County Militia during the American Revolutionary War.[3]

Death and Legacy

Edward died September 9, 1822 at Montgomery, Kanawaha County, (later West Virginia) Virginia, USA. His will was probated in June 1822.[1]
