Biography

Agnes was the daughter of Robert Bindloss and the second wife of William Fleming.^[1]

Aug. 16. Ano 7 Car.I. yet there are some evidence for her being dead sooner viz. before ye 4th of that month.^[2]

(2) Sir Robert Bindloss, of Borwick, co. Lancaster, kt., John Lowther, of Lowther and Christopher Phillipson, of Calgarth, esqs., John Lowther, son and heir of John Lowther and William Ambrose, of Lowick, Cumberland, gent.

Premises: The manor of Coniston, all lands in Coniston, Torver, Blawith, Kirkby, Great Urswick, Ulverston and the rectory of Ulverston, co. Lancaster, the manor of Little Beckermet and all lands in Little and Great Beckermet, Cleator, Blackbeck, Bishoppott and Highgill, Cumberland, and the moieties of the rectories of St Bridget and St Leonard, Cleator, and St John's besides Calder and moieties of the tithes therein.

Terms: To (2) as trustees for the lifetime of Dame Bridgett, wife of John Fleming, son of (1) as dower, then for the term of the life of (1), and then to the use of (2) until some male heir of Daniel Fleming, brother of John Fleming, attains the age of twenty six years.

Fleming & 800li to ye said Daniel F. Gent.) of ye Manor of Skirwith &c. to ye Daniel F. for his Life with a Rent charge to Isabel his Wife, if she survive Him, then to Will. F. & Jo. F. his Sons in Tail; & then to ye sd Will. F. next afore & his Heirs for ever, with a Power of Revocation in ye sd Agnes F.^[3]
