Biography

He made his living traveling for a wholesale liquor house. ^[1]

He was shot and killed in Winston-Salem. He was probably shot Monday night, September 11, 1899. He died the next afternoon. ^{[2] [1]} Two men were later convicted of second degree murder and received 8 and 6 years in prison. ^[3]
