She was born Marih Ellen Binkley on March 15, 1852. [1] I do not know if her name was Mariah, and misspelled on her headstone, or was actually Marih. Hennings-109 00:17, 5 November 2019 (UTC) She is listed as eight years old on the 1860 census record for Peter and Henrietta Binkley. [2]
She appears on the 1870 census, age 16. [3] She married William Taylor on June 27, 1875 [4][5]
But she died less than two years later, on April 14, 1877. [1]
Research Notes
Sarah Ellen Binkley (Harvel), born 1864 in Forsyth County, is the daughter of Benton Binkley and Sarah Warner and is not this Ellen Binkley. [6]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Ellen by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Ellen:
Peter Binkley and Henrietta Cornelia Hauser didn't marry until June 1852 (Forsyth Co. NC marriage bond date 7 Jun 1852). Could Marih / Mariah's birth be in 1853 instead?
I looked at the photo on find a grave and it's inconclusive. Since she is buried at Baltimore, I might have a better photo. If not, we'll have to wait until the next time I am there.
