William Birdwell was born 10 February, 1772 at the Bent of the James River, Botetourt County, Virginia. He was the son of George Birdwell and Mary Looney. Parents of Mary L Looney were Thomas Llewellyn Looney and Margaret Jane Harmon Looney

Reported Problem: I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave
Details: I walked the entire cemetery, even discovered a couple flat markers but there is no marker or headstone for the requested party. No known marker from that time period. All headstones and markers are from the 20th century. Volunteer's Profile (47862185)

William died 23 Feb 1811 in Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee, and is thought to be buried in Birdwell Cemetery, Jackson County, Tennessee. In Davidson County, Tennessee on 23 February 1811, William Birdwell made release to Mary and George Birdwell, executors and c. of estate of George Birdwell, deceased. This will was proved in court of Montgomery County, Tennessee in 1811.[2]
