Biography

Edmund L Bishop was born on January 5, 1775 in District 96, British Province of South Carolina, the son of William L. Bishop and Sarah (Ballenger) Bishop. He was the brother of Barney Bishop, Henry Bishop, John W Bishop, Allen Bishop and William L Bishop.

Edmund married Sarah Brannon, the daughter of William H Brannon and Scarberry Sarah Berryman. They had the following children:

  3. George Berryman Bishop,
  4. Daniel Morgan Bishop,
  5. Scarberry (Bishop) Belcher,
  6. Mary (Bishop) Russell,

  10. Henry Bishop,
  11. Mahala (Bishop) Cudd and
  12. Gabriel Marian Bishop

Edmund died December 10, 1851 in Valley Falls, Spartanburg District, South Carolina, United States.[1][2]
