George Wesley Bishop, Jr. b. 13 Jan. 1910 at 111 W. 94th St. N.Y.C. and died 14 Aug. 1974 at DeKalb, II. He was married to Helen Young (b. 14 Nov. 1912 near Pyatt, Marion Co., Ark. daug. of Wm. Pace & Darthula “Dottie", Owens Young)22 Dec. 1942 in St. James the Less Episcopal Church in Scarsdale, N.Y. by the Rev. James Harry Price, Rector. He received his A.B. degree from College of William & Mary and MBA and PhD from New York University. He was Head of Finance Department, College of Business, Northern Illinois University at DeKalb, II. when he died suddenly of a heart attack. He served in World War II and in Korean Conflict as a Captain in USN. and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. His Grave is #14-15, Section 39. They had 2 children (who are possibly living) 1) Georgelen Elizabeth Bishop b. 19 Oct. 1943 in Jacksonville, Fla. 2) George Wesley Bishop, III b. 12 Oct. 1948 in Providence, Rhode Island .
