Daniel A. Bishop was born in Horton, Nova Scotia about 1839. He was the son of Robert Elisha Bishop and his wife Rebecca Jane Pelton. He was one of 10 children.
Daniel married Frances Tracy in Lockhartville, Horton, Kings County, Nova Scotia, on January 26, 1871.[1]
At the time of their marriage, Daniel's age was listed as 32, and he was a carpenter.
At the time of the 1871 Canada Census, Daniel and Frances Bishop were living in Gasperau, Nova Scotia, along with Sarah Benjamin. Daniel was a lumberman.[2]
Daniel died in Horton on January 7, 1877, shown as age 38, and a farmer.[3]
