Biography
Asa Bishop married Isabella Blankenship on July 31, 1842 in Troup County, Georgia [1]
In 1860 the family lived in Coosa County, Alabama. Asa was a farmer with real estate worth $700 and a personal estate worth $800. Besides Asa and Isa (Isabella) they had the following children all born in Alabama: Lizzie age 16, John age 14, Eda age 13, A. age 5, and Mary age five months. [2]
