John was born in 1815.
He married 15 Jun 1847 in Elgin, Scotland, Jane Elizabeth Ogilvie.
In 1871, John, blacksmith, 59, Jane, 40, William, blacksmith, 22, Elizabeth, 20, Mary, 18, John, blacksmith, 17, Herbert, 13, Albert, 9 and Annie, 7, were residing in Dartmouth.[1]
John died in 1884.
