In 1861, Andrew, 63, Margaret, 48, Louis [sic], 20 and Sarah Hopper, servant, 19 were residing in Hillsborough, Albert Co., New Brunswick. [2]
In 1871, Andrew, farmer, 73 and Margaret, 68, were residing in Hillsborough, Albert Co., New Brunswick. [3]
Andrew died 1 Jun 1878 and is buried in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, Albert Co., New Brunswick. [4] The 28 Aug 1878 edition of the Christian Visitor reported: "Deacon Andrew Bishop, born in Horton, N.S. in 1797, died June 1st at (residence of) his son-in-law, Oliver Bishop of Caledonia (Albert Co.) When about 27 years of age, when Rev. Mr. Austin was preaching the word of God, ... God heard his cries ... and in the year 1824 he was baptized by Rev. Cleveland and united with the Baptist Church in Hopewell. In the pastorate of Rev. W. Sears, Bro. Bishop was ordained a deacon of the church which office he filled until his death. He left and aged widow, eight daughters, all of whom are members of the Baptist church. Rev. James Irvine preached on the occasion of his funeral. Harvey, 12th Aug. 1878."
