Biography

Hannah (Bishop) Burbidge was born on 20 Jul 1756 in New London, New London, daughter of Colonel John Bishop Jr. (~1731 - ~1815) and Mary (Forsyth) Bishop (~1722 - 1808).

Her siblings were:

  1. Amelia Ann (Bishop) McLean (1754 - 1846)
  2. Charles John Bishop (1758 - 1815)
  3. John Bishop III (1764 - 1798)

Hannah married Henry Burbidge (1740 - 1815) on 2 Jun 1774 in Cornwallis, Kings, Nova Scotia. Their children were:

  1. Jane (Burbidge) Fitch
  2. John Burbidge
  3. Mary (Burbidge) Best
  4. Rebecca (Burbidge) Wickwire
  5. Abel Burbidge
  6. Elias Burbidge
  7. Henry Burbidge.

Hannah died on 10 November 1797, in Cornwallis Township, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 41, and was buried in Fox Hill Cemetery, Port Williams, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada.
