Biography
Elias was born in 1812. He is the son of George Dolbeare Bishop and Jane Burbidge.
He married Jane Hacker in 1837. She was born circa 1808 in England.
In 1861, Elias, blacksmith, was residing in Lot 21, Queens Co., P.E.I. with a family consisting of 1 male 16-21 [Horatio], 2 males 21-45 [George, himself], 1 female 5-16 [Emma], 2 females 16-21 [Emmelina, Elizabeth], 1 female 21-45 [Jane, his wife].
In 1881, Elias, blacksmith, 64, b. NS, Jane, 73, b. England, Nelson, blacksmith, 34, Emelina Squarebridge, widow, 36, Catherine J. Squarebridge, 11, Willimina, Squarebridge, 10 and Georgina Squarebridge, 9 were residing in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.[1]
In 1891, Elias, blacksmith, 79, b. NS, Jane, 83, b. England, Amy Squarebridge, widow, 45, Cassie J. Squarebridge, 22, Willimina, Squarebridge, 21 and Georgina Squarebridge, 20 were residing in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.[2]
He passed away 7 Dec 1897 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada.[3]
