Mary Bixby was born at Ipswich, Massachusetts on February 18, 1659, daughter of Joseph Bixby and Sarah Riddlesdale/widow Heard. ^{[1] [2]}

In her father's will on November 11, 1699, he names among his heirs, daughter Mary Stone. ^[3]
