Emma Christina (Björkman) Swanson migrated from Sweden to America.

The excerpt from the household record for Norra Sandsjö for 1870 lists:

  • Jonas Otto Svensson Björkman 9/10 - 39
  • Knut Herman Björkman 24/2 -49
  • (Jonas) Magnus Svensson 25/5 -40
  • Emma Kristina Björkman 30/6 -46
  • Sven Mag(nus) Reinhold 28/6 -65
  • Emilie Charlotta 23/8 -67

Looks like Magnus and Emma Kristina shared household or lived neighbours with her two unmarried brothers. The crossing out of Knut Herman with the note that he went to America -71 seems to have been done first - but it looks like "rymd" applied to the whole family (they ran away).

Well, so much for that: they are also in a perfectly ordinary household record for 1871.[1]

Birth records for Norra Sandsjö are missing between 1797 and 1897 (because of archive fire) - but there are household records. I think I can find Emma's parents for you.

I have no problem with that. When I created the profile I did not have any records of the use of that letter. Also the recent merge used this version. I'll edit the last name.
