Research Notes

  • "Royal Magistrate (Hirðstjóri) at Reykhólar. Received a papal permission to marry Ingveldur, his 3rd cousins, both descendants of Eiríkur Magnússon" (Íslendingabók).[1]
  • Þorleifur Björnsson was the son of Björn Þorleifsson and Ólöf Loftsdóttir, and was probably born about 1440. His wife was Ingveldur Helgadóttir. He died in 1486.[4][5]
