Biography

Margaret Blackburn, daughter of John & Rebecca (Harlan) Blackburn, was born 10 mo 16, 1740, probably in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. According to Evelyn Gibson, she died between 5-24-1806 and 11-24-1810 in Westmoreland County. This range is based on her mention in the Westland MM records as late as 1806 but not being named on her husband's Certificate to Redstone in 1810.[2]

Her husband Solomon Shepherd is recognized by the DAR for his patriotic service during the American Revolution. His estate suffered depreciation in 1781. [3]
