In April 1770, Captain Robert Blackburn was assigned to a regiment of foot soldiers, commanded by Thomas Neel.[2]
On 10 August 1787, Robert Blackburn was issued a land grant of 189 acres in Lincoln County, North Carolina, on the waters of Little Creek.[3] On the same date he was issued another 200 acres on the side of his other survey.[4]
He passed away about 1794.
