Biography

Nelson's father is listed as John B. Blackburn and his mother as Rennell Gaimon on his death certificate as reported by his son, Thomas. Place of birth was Murray Bay, Canada.

At his son William's baptism in 1855, Nelson indicated that he was illiterate and could not sign his name to the register.

Narcisse was born in 1818. He is the son of Jean-Baptiste Blackburn and Renelle Gagnon. He passed away in 1905.
