Mary (Blackburn) Gregory was born in Appalachia, in North Carolina.

Mary was born March 28, 1834 in Ashe County, North Carolina, United States. She was a daughter of John Blackburn and Milly Dyer.^[1]

She married Henry Jordan Gregory on December 18, 1851 in Macon County, North Carolina, United States.^[2]
