Biography

Mary (Blackburn) Gregory was born in Appalachia, in North Carolina.

Mary was born March 28, 1834 in Ashe County, North Carolina, United States. She was a daughter of John Blackburn and Milly Dyer.[1]

She married Henry Jordan Gregory on December 18, 1851 in Macon County, North Carolina, United States.[2]
Mary and Henry had the following children:

  3. Sarah Elizabeth Gregory Wilson
  4. Mary Jane Gregory Moses
  5. Martha Gregory Young
  6. Adolphus Sylvester Gregory

  10. Henry Jackson Gregory

In the 1880 census Mary (age 46) was living in Ellijay Township, Macon County, North Carolina, United States.[1]

Mary passed away August 1, 1917 in Millshoal Township, Macon County, North Carolina, United States and was buried in Mountain Grove Baptist Cemetery, Franklin, Macon County, North Carolina, USA.[3]
