Biography
When Rebecca Blackburn was born on January 30, 1821, in Chatham, Ontario, Canada, her father, James, was 33, and her mother, Barbara, was 32. She had 12 children with Matthias Desmond, seven daughters and five boys, between 1840 and 1866. She died on April 3, 1897, in Kent, Ontario, Canada, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried in Dresden, Ontario, Canada.
