Biography

The births of 'Esom' [Esau] Blackman and Enos Blackman were registered in Q3 1842 in the District of Cricklade, Wiltshire, sons of Blackman/Clarke.[1][2]

Esau Blackman was baptised on 06 Nov 1842 at Lyneham, Wiltshire, son of Charles, Labourer of Lyneham, and Keziah.[3] His brother Enos Blackman had been buried on 10 Oct 1842 at Lyneham, Wiltshire, age 3 weeks.[4]

Esau Blackman of full age, bachelor, Labourer of Lyneham, married Agnes Virginia Norris of full age, spinster of Lyneham, on 04 May 1866 at Lyneham, Wiltshire. His father was Charles Blackman, Labourer, nor father's name was recorded for Agnes.[5]

He may have been the Esau Blackman whose death was registered in Q2 1927 in the District of Cirencester, age 84.[6]
