Elias Blackman was baptised on 04 Mar 1821 at Lyneham, Wiltshire, son of Jacob and Ann.^[1][2]

1841: Elias Blackman resident at Lyneham, Wiltshire, age 20, born Wiltshire.^[3]

It is is presumed he then migrated to the United States as an Elias Blackman was later resident at Luzerne, Pennsylvania, the same area as his elder brother Richard.

1850: Elias Blackman resident at Blakely, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, age 27, born England, married to Ann.^[4]

1860: Elias Blackman resident at Blakely, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, age 39, born England, married to Ann.^[5]

1870: Elias Blackman resident at Blakely, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, age 49, born England, married to Ann.^[6]

1880: 'Eligah' Blackman resident at Parsons, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, United States, age 57, born England, married to 'Anna'.^[7]
