When Johnny R. Blackmon was born on August 2, 1962, in Monroe, Louisiana, his father, Albert, was 28 and his mother, Janice, was 23. He had six siblings. Sharon Ann Oser, who passed from Cancer 20 March 2001, Dave H and Patsy E Blackmon. His younger sister, Mary, passed away 28 Febuary 2015 from Cancer and younger brother Nolan accidentally drowned 17 August 2003. He as one other brother, Albert , who is a Master Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves.

Johnny worked various jobs growing up to include hauling hay, planting sweet potatoes, rough necking on drilling rigs and x-raying pipe lines in Texas, Mississipppi, Louisiana and Oklahoma.

Johnny, joined the Marine Corp in Decmember 1981 where he was a Correctional Specialist Police at Beaufort, South Carolnia, Parris Island Recruit Depot. Johnny's duties included guarding prisioners, workshop supervisor and NCO of staff and prisioners. He also was assignied Tempoary Duty at The Parris Island Museum where he gave tours for visting digntaries and guests. He also served as NCOIC in charged of the Saluting Batteries firing a 21 gun salute to VP George Walker Bush.

He married in 1983 to Lori K Barker who was also a Marine and worked at Trainning Audio Visaul Support Center. He had one son and two daughters with Lori between 1985 and 1992.

Johnny moved to Georgia in December of 1985 and joined Cobb County Police Dept. 11 May 1986. * While working one detail for The Atlanta Golf Classic Johnny stopped Bob Hope's limosine, and let him pass after after a brief check, and noticed as he passed his licence plate said "HOPE": and thus regrets not having met Bob HOPE.

Johnny worked as a Private Investigator in 1999 as a deadbeat parent locater and was a moderator for supportforyou@onelist.com where he helped people locate their deadbeat parent. Johnny still specializes in locating people which falls right in line with wikitree geneology. However, he was diagnoized with Parkinson Disease in 1999 and thus has limited his role. He has had several surgeries for Deep Brain Stimulator but still remains active and willing to help others.
