John Davy Blackmore was born on August 20, 1867 in Kaiapoi, Canterbury, New Zealand, son of John Davy Blackmore (1841–1901) and Mary Ann Gobie (1841–1885).[1]
John (22) married Charlotte McIntyre (24) (born 1865 in Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland) on April 21, 1890.[2]
Their children were:
John died in January 1913 as the result of an accident, aged 45 years,[3] in Invercargill, Southland. He is buried in Eastern Cemetery, Invercargill.[4][5]
