Like many Australians my ancestors came here in the mid 19th century,
One g/g/grandparent couple from Ireland because of the famine, another g/g/g couple with the g/g/grandfather as a convict ship guard.
Another pair with from Scotland because of the enclosures.
One set from India with Irish, German and Indian roots,
A g/grandparent direct from Germany after gold.
One g/grandparent from England as a convict.
And the last link, g/g/grandparents from Devon.
My children through marriage have Spanish and Philipines connections.
My nephew is married to a Japanese wife and my wife has a a nephew marreied to a Chinese.
You can see that Australia is getting to be multiracial.
